Meet Our Providers
Kamie Saylor, LCSW
I am a licensed clinical therapist with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to meet amazing people while also understanding that people experience hardships and have struggles throughout life. I believe with the support and help of a mental health professional in a safe and nonjudgemental environment, one can work through the difficult challenges in life to live their fullest life desired. I am highly trained and have experience in working with individuals of all ages and families experiencing issues related to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, gender identity, sexual orientation, postpartum depression, trauma, family discord, and many other challenges. I would be honored in helping you work through healing and start thriving in your life and not just surviving.
Maya Damet-Powell, LCSW
Life can be challenging and it is my belief that we all need support and connection to grow and thrive. In the twelve years I have worked with children and their families, I feel my ability to connect with my clients has been central to any progress made.
I use an intergraded approach applying directive and non-directive play therapy techniques, CBT and a strengths-based perspective. My specialties include adjustment related issues, trauma, anxiety, depression and behavioral concerns.
Children (and their families) are incredibly resilient and I believe in their ability to connect, adapt and grow even during the most difficult times. I would be honored to support your child and family through life’s many twists and turns.
Katherine Fritchie, LPC
Life has many challenges, and my goal as a counselor is to help people navigate through their obstacles. I love to hear people’s stories and help process their journey to start healing. I place an emphasis on mindfulness in therapy, as our thoughts have a huge impact on our feelings and behaviors. I want you to feel comfortable in allowing me to help you overcome any challenges or obstacles in your life.
I am a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling from John Brown University. I also have a master’s degree in Communications from the University of Arkansas. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field.
I have worked with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, family issues and much more. I think that you feeling comfortable with your therapist is one of the most effective elements in the therapeutic relationship. I would love to offer a free phone consult to see if I'm a good fit for you.
Valarie Bowman, LPC
I believe that life is more challenging than ever and many face difficult situations and struggles. My emphasis in practice is thought based. I believe thoughts can have a very powerful effect on how we feel, how we live and how we make decisions. My goal as a therapist is to help clients explore thoughts and feelings in order to help clients identify healthy ways to overcome life's challenges and obstacles. I consider it a privilege to be able to participate in the helping relationship, working to help clients navigate through the challenges, struggles and joys of life.
I received my Masters of Counseling from the University of Arkansas in 1995 and have been practicing in the Northwest Arkansas area since that time. I have extensive experience working with pre-teens, teenagers and adults in a variety of settings. I have worked with many clients on issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma and many more.
Having worked through my own challenges and struggles in life, I understand that having a therapist that you can connect to and feel comfortable with can be a life changing experience. If you would like to reach out to me for a free phone consult, please feel free to contact me.
